Aloha! I am Charieze Lianne Cacayorin, your Miss Oahu Filipina 2024.

I’m a 22-year-old graduate student pursuing my M.A. in Communicology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. In 2023, I obtained a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies, and a degree in Philippine Language & Culture. My passion in higher education allows me to teach and share the vibrant culture of the Philippines with future generations.
In May 2024, I had the honor of being crowned Miss O‘ahu Filipina at the Flores de Mayo Filipino Fiesta at the Filipino Community Center. This earned me a spot in the Miss Hawaii Filipina 2024 Pageant, which took place in Hilo in August. I competed across various categories, including swimwear, talent, pre-interview, and the combined Terno, Speech, and Question & Answer segment—taking home the Speech and Q&A segment awards. This ultimately earned me the first runner-up title—a distinction last achieved in 2017.
"...I am committed to honoring my family's legacy and inspiring those who may feel overlooked or marginalized."
Outside of pageantry, I am pursuing my passion for acting and modeling. I’ve been fortunate to take on lead roles in internationally recognized films, such as My Partner: The Movie directed by Keli‘i Grade and Kunyari by Justin Ocampo. Through Miss O‘ahu Filipina, I aim to amplify my Filipino heritage with pride, sharing my culture through various media and the arts.
I advocate for Filipino culture by contributing to research, community engagement, and civic initiatives in my community. As a 1.5-generation immigrant, I am committed to honoring my family's legacy and inspiring those who may feel overlooked or marginalized. I challenge stereotypes by encouraging others to recognize their unique talents and potential. Through inclusivity and empowerment, I believe we can break down barriers and create a more equitable environment where all individuals are able to achieve their fullest potential.
